The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro said that Venezuelans “will never be slaves ever” and that the only way to achieve national sovereignty is to form a new scientific generation.
The president, who led this Wednesday The celebration of the 1st Anniversary of the Great Mission Science, Innovation and Technology “Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán,” said the advances on different fronts of Venezuela’s scientific and technological work.
“Because a child grows with another mentality with a new motivation to life and with it we continue to form a new scientific generation,” said the president after sustaining satellite contact with the city of Barcelona in Anzoátegui, where the didactic center for the learning of science was inaugurated.

The GLASSS Navigation System starts

In December 2022, the Russian Space Agency, Roscomos, announced an agreement to install in Venezuela a Glonass navigation system station.
The station will improve the characteristics of Glassass, analogous to American GPS, European Galileo and Chinese Beidou, both in the Western and global hemisphere, Roscomos then said in a statement.
The GLONASS will allow Venezuelans to permanently and freely obtain the data for land, maritime and aerial transport, the precision agricultural cultivation, the supervision of the state of infrastructure and industrial plants, and the realization of scientific experiments, says Efe.
The station will guarantee safe navigation to consumers who use PPP technology, precise point positioning, added the information.
Designed by the Corporation Precision Equipment Systems, belonging to Roscosmos, the station continues to uninterrupted the signals issued in open by the satellites of global navigation systems and transmits in real time the results of the measurements.
