The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, asked this Monday to accelerate the homologation of university degrees of Venezuelan citizens in Colombia, in an effort to “enrich” societies of both countries.

“I have asked the Icfes to completely streamline the procedures to homologate diplomas and hopefully the same will be done on the other side, because the first thing we have to achieve is that once they have degrees with their due preparation, a Venezuelan can work in Colombia. and the same a Colombian in Venezuela”, pointed out the president.
Petro pointed out that this is a “first-order” issue since, in his opinion, “societies enrich not only through trade but also fundamentally through education.”
