Diana Romero Corilloclla, sister of Erwin Romero Corilloclla filed a complaint against the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo, against Prime Minister Aníbal Torres, against the Minister of the Interior, Alfonso Chavarry Estrada; for the crime of attempted homicide, serious injuries and others. The complaint was filed with the Huancayo Criminal Prosecutor’s Office. This after the young street vendor Erwin Romero lost his left eye when he was hit by a tear gas canister during the April 2 strike.
“At some point we have supported Pedro Castillo and now to be like this, I never thought I would be in this situation. If my brother has supported the protest because things are expensive, he works from day to day it is not enough for us, that’s why he said “I’m going to go support the strike” he said and he’s gone “said Diana between tears.
Quite indignantly, she pointed out that there is no political background in her complaint, “All I want is for my brother to be paid his compensation because his treatment and the prosthesis he needs are quite expensive,” she said. She indicated that there is no support from the Central Government either, despite the fact that up to 20 days have passed.
Lawyer Carlos Leiva Ñaña indicates that people from the government came to the home of Erwin Romero’s mother to promise him compensation, which was never paid. “President Pedro Castillo Terrones is immersed in the complaint as Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Aníbal Torres because he is the representative of all the ministers; in the same way to the Minister of the Interior, to Mr. Chavarry who represents the police institution”, he indicated. The head of the Sixth Police Macroregion, General PNP Gregorio Villalón Trillo and the head of the USE, Major PNP Juan Carlos Romero Romero, who was in charge of the operation, the subordinate personnel and the doctor on duty of the Carrion Hospital.
