“The Head of State, Pedro Castillo, together with the heads of the MTC, Mindef and the Ministry of Housing, flew over the areas affected by intense rainfall in the Cajamarca region. The sectors execute actions for the rehabilitation of these districts”, wrote the official account of the Presidency of the Republic.
This happened after the The Executive Power will declare a state of emergency for 60 days in 20 districts of the Cajamarca region due to the rains that have been recorded for several days. The decision was made known in an extraordinary edition of El Peruano, dated Saturday, March 5.

According to the report of the National Emergency Operations Center (COEN) on Saturday, March 5, the Cajamarca rainfall, since March 1, has caused an increase in the flow of rivers, floods, and landslides in several districts of the region.
Vacancy motion filed against Castillo
The spokesman for the Popular Renovation caucus, Jorge Montoya, announced that this Tuesday, March 8 at 9:00 am they will present the vacancy motion against the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, with the signatures they manage to collect up to that moment. In that sense, the legislator assured that the document with this initiative already has 40 headings currently.
“Over the course of the day they will add up. Yesterday the offices were closed and the electronic signature requires assistance to do so. I imagine that today those who must do so will begin to sign. We need 26 and we have them for more than a week”, said dialogue with Channel N.
