The newspaper EL TIEMPO was able to establish that, indeed, the White House is considering the trip with the idea of making it coincide with a summit of the Pacific Alliance in Cartagena (Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Chile) and that the Democratic president wants to promote.

However, neither the White House not even Embassy of Colombia in Washington have confirmed the news.

In addition to attending the Summit, Biden would have an official meeting with President Iván Duque.

What is certain is that it is an issue that Colombia has been insisting on for several months and appears as objective number one on the agenda of the Ambassador Juan Carlos Pinzón since he was appointed to the position.
