Judge Caryslia Rodríguez affirmed that there are “imperial forces, dark forces” that seek to frighten Venezuelans
The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Rodríguez, asked the communal justices of the peace to maintain unity in the face of “threats” from the United States.
“The firmness of this people is very important to continue overcoming difficulties, because we are indestructible, so thank you for so much love, for so much work,” Rodríguez said this Monday, December 15, at an event for the first anniversary of the election of 30,000 communal justices of the peace, broadcast by the private channel Globovisión.
The justice of the peace in Venezuela is a figure established in the Organic Law of the Special Jurisdiction of Communal Justice of the Peace, who has the power to “know conflicts or controversies” in “his local territorial scope”, in order to guarantee “harmony and healthy coexistence” in the so-called communal circuits of the country.

The judge added that at this moment “imperial forces, dark forces” seek to frighten and defeat Venezuela, which is why, she maintained, the work of the justices of the peace “shines more.”
The United States Government ordered a military deployment in the Caribbean Sea within the framework of an operation against drug trafficking cartels, among them, the so-called Cartel of the Suns, led – according to the Trump administration – by Nicolás Maduro and senior leaders of Chavismo.
Tensions between both countries have been escalating after the military deployment, warnings about Venezuelan airspace, the application of sanctions and most recently with the seizure of a Venezuelan oil tanker.
