For the president of the STF, the Electoral Justice guaranteed the normality of the election and legitimized the result of the vote. “Our democracy was strengthened, our democratic institutions were strengthened, our Democratic State of Law was strengthened, which this STF will continue to defend uncompromisingly as the guardian of our Constitution,” she said.

Upon receiving the greetings, the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Alexandre de Moraes, who is also a member of the Supreme Court, said that voters showed confidence in the Electoral Justice and electronic voting machines.

Moraes said that less than three hours after the end of the vote in the second round, around 123 million votes were counted and the result was proclaimed.

The minister also pointed out that all the international missions that acted as observers of the elections attested to the transparency of the election.

“The elections are over. The elections ended on Sunday and the result was proclaimed. Democratically, the people chose the president and vice president of the Republic, in addition to the other governors. Until the 19th of December they will be graduated and on the 1st of January they will take office. This is democracy, and democracy has again won in Brazil,” he concluded.
