President of the Cartagena council captured with drugs was released and returned to office

The president of the Cartagena Council, Gloria Estrada, returned to the corporation upon regaining her freedom in the process that he faced since January of this year, after the authorities found a kilogram of cocaine in the vehicle where he was traveling.

Gloria Estrada who was in house arrest for the crime of possession, trafficking and manufacture of narcotics, entered the corporation escorted and she claimed to be a woman of integrity and at the service of democracy from Cartagena.

He referred to the remarks made by the mayor of Cartagena William Dau at the time she was captured.

“As I have said, I do not expect anything from the mayor, we all know his actions, but if I stain myself, it condemned me, my family and my children, which is something that I cannot tolerate because in the political exercise one accepts it, but when they mess with one’s children they really touch fibers that hurt in the heart, “said the lobbyist.

He also sent a message to Senator Lidio García, “I want to greet our senator and natural leader of the liberal party, Dr. Lidio García Turbaybut not as a politician, but as a great human being who was by my side and by my family’s side despite the fact that he was a man who was mistreated, who was judged and who He had to face this fight that was not his.

Councilor Gloria Estrada stated that, has a clear objective with his return to the corporation and it is to move the city forward and ensure the School Food Plan.

“We continue to work even at the expense of ourselves, as has been my case, so that we have a city with a quality of life for all, where children with the fewest resources are not left without their school meals as has happened in the city of Cartagena,” Gloria Estrada said.

The councilors received their companion with strong hugs, Councilman Rodrigo Reyes stated that he was never ashamed of this situation and that they knew they were going to get away with it.

“I really want to welcome you with happiness here in the council where you should be from the first day, I know that in your heart first is your family, your friends, those of us who were present, those who were never ashamed of this situation because we trust in you, in what you are as a person, the leader that you are, We knew you were going to get away with it,” said Rodrigo Reyes.

The council president’s lawyer, Enrique del Rio, indicated that the lobbyist continues to be linked to the judicial processl but now released.
