From the 4th to the 11th of February, the president of Canary Islands (Spanish Autonomous Community), Ángel Víctor Torres, makes his first official visit to Venezuela.
During his stay in the country, he will hold meetings with institutional representatives, with members of the Spanish embassies, as well as informative and cultural meetings with Canarian residents in the country.
Schedule in Venezuela
According to the schedule, in Venezuela the President of the Canary Islands has scheduled several institutional meetings with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yvan Gil, as well as with the Governor of the State of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez.
The itinerary indicates that in Caracas, Torres will visit the Delegation of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Spain Health Foundation and the Venezuelan Canarian Home, where there will be meetings with the Council of Spanish Residents in Venezuela and the presidents of the Canary Islands entities.
La Guaira, Maracay and Valencia

Likewise, he will travel to Cagua, where he will meet with the members of the Nuestra Señora de las Nieves de Cagua Foundation, dedicated mainly to welcoming Canary Islands men and women in vulnerable situations.
The tour of Venezuela will end in Villa de Cura, where Torres will inaugurate the Meeting of Canary Traditions, in which there will be exhibitions of autochthonous island sports and folkloric groups.
