The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, held a meeting on Tuesday with the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Venezuela, Lan Hu.
The meeting was held in the office of the president of the Venezuelan Parliament.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, the president of the AN described the meeting as “fruitful”.
In this sense, he asserted that the meeting made progress “on a bilateral political and parliamentary agenda that will allow us to strengthen relations of cooperation and brotherhood with the Asian giant.”
A week ago, the Chinese ambassador held a meeting with the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, to refine actions for the visit of representatives of the Chinese Communist Party.
After this work, representatives of the Communist Party of China arrived in the country and have already held this Tuesday meetings with representatives of the PSUV.
Since the strengthening of relations between China and Venezuela – with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to power -, both nations have executed a significant number of projects in the areas of energy, industry, public works, housing, agriculture, science and technology, transportation , culture, trade and security and defense.
