President of Petroperú announces audit of new Talara refinery

Petroperú

This Monday, the president of the board of directors of PetroperuAlejandro Narváez, reported that a detective forensic audit will be carried out to identify alleged irregularities and possible perpetrators in the execution of the New Talara Refinery project.

Narváez mentioned that “a forensic detective audit of the New Talara Refinery will be carried out with the active participation of the Comptroller’s Office to identify alleged irregularities in the execution of the project and those responsible. It is a commission from the Prime Minister (Gustavo Adrianzén) and the President herself (Dina Boluarte), so we have to honor it no matter what and it will be as soon as possible.”

This procedure will allow fraud to be identified through an investigation, determining what the existing fraud or act of corruption is, its effects, the alleged perpetrators and the associated accomplices.

“We will do this audit as soon as possible and those who assumed the direction of the company in recent years will emerge, and each one will respond for what that audit says,” he added.

SALE OF ASSETS

The official also announced that Petroperú has 29 assets available to sell (properties, land), which is an important number considering that the state company needs resources.

“We don’t know how much exactly they are valued. There will be a special commission that will be in charge of valuing the assets and putting them up for sale at a fair price,” said Narváez.
