Complying with the requirements established by International Law, Margaud Godoy presented this Thursday before the Honduran president, Xiomara Castro, the Letters of Credence that accredit her as ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the Republic of Honduras.
The information was published through Godoy’s Twitter account, @MargaudGpsuv, who highlighted the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two nations. “Today the peoples of Bolívar and Morazán embrace again,” he wrote.
In this context, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Félix Plasencia, announced on January 28 the reestablishment of diplomatic relations with Honduras, as well as the recovery of the Venezuelan headquarters.
On the same date, President Xiomara Castro assured that the reestablishment of relations with Venezuela “is part of the respect for International Law that will characterize the current government of Honduras.”
