The president of Ecuador, Daniel Noboahe appointed Sariha Belén Moya on Wednesday as the new Minister of Economy and Finance, as part of changes in her cabinet after winning Sunday’s presidential elections for a full -year mandate.
Moya, an economist who directed the National Secretariat of Planning, replaces Luis Alberto Jaramillo, who will go to the Ministry of Foreign Production and Commerce, according to the Government in a decree signed by Noboa.
On Sunday, Noboa and the electoral authority of the country declared their victory with more than one million votes in front of the leftist, Luisa González, who denounced the result as a “grotesque” fraud.
