On January 20, 2023, Brahim Ghali was ratified as Secretary General of the Polisario Front and President of the Republic of Saharawi by more than 2,000 delegates of the 16th Congress of the Front.
Ghali has pledged to follow the firm intention of not ceasing his efforts to achieve full independence for his people.
