Alfredo Cohen, president of the Sambil construction company, plans to inaugurate the shopping center at the La Candelaria headquarters on November 30.
In a publication On Instagram on July 8, Cohen noted that the mall will have a soft opening.
The commercial structure has 6 levels and 32 escalators, the businessman said in past statements. Similarly, he has stated that almost all the premises are reserved and that it will also have a RIO supermarket, the first of that network in Caracas.
He has also indicated that the place will have 10 movie theaters and 32 food outlets.
The construction of said shopping center was interrupted 14 years ago after the late President Hugo Chávez ordered its expropriation, arguing that it would build a large public hospital.
The work remained paralyzed until four months ago, when Nicolás Maduro returned the shopping center to its owner.
“Here we are in the Sambil Candelaria, what emotion! I can say that the building is super good, in good condition. We have officially received the structure of the shopping center,” Cohen said at the time.
