On today’s agenda is the vote on the aforementioned law.
The measure would allow the establishment of a regulatory framework similar to that of the countries that belong to the OECD, and is carried out, according to the text, within the framework of the process of strengthening the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI), allowing the use of the resources from Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other entities.
REQUEST TO THE CHANCERY OFFICE
Meanwhile, Peru21 reported that Congressman Alejandro Muñante, from Renovación Popular, requested, through a letter, the president of the Parliament’s Foreign Relations Commission, Auristela Obando, to require the Peruvian Foreign Ministry to “defend our sovereignty” and reject the foreign interference that they are trying to exert on some legislators.
“In my capacity as a full member of the Foreign Relations Commission, I requested that the commission I chair urgently request the Peruvian Foreign Ministry so that it defends our sovereignty and rejects the aforementioned foreign interference that seeks to hinder an exclusive function. and exclusive of the Congress of the Republic, framed within our Political Constitution, even more so if in the majority of countries they contain norms that regulate the supervision and transparency of NGOs,” Muñante states in the document.
Indeed, through Perú21, days ago, congressmen Alejandro Aguinaga and Américo Gonza accused that they received telephone calls and visits with which third parties would have tried to prevent the debate and eventually the approval of the aforementioned norm.
