President of Bolivia arrives in Venezuela to sign new agreements

The president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce, arrived in Venezuela this Thursday to sign new agreements and strengthen relations between the two nations.

The Bolivian president was received by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, at the Maiquetía International Airport, in La Guaira.

On the occasion, Arce was given the corresponding military honors.

“We welcome the president of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Luis Arce @LuchoXBolivia, brother and ally of our people, with whom we will sign new cooperation agreements within the framework of the III Venezuela-Bolivia Joint Integration Commission,” Gil said in his official Twitter account, in which he published a micro on the presidential arrival.

It is expected that during his visit, Venezuela and Bolivia will sign 10 cooperation agreements discussed during the III Mixed Commission between both countries. Among the issues contemplated in these agreements are the academic field, culture, health, energy and trade.

“We commit ourselves before President Luis Arce and President Nicolás Maduro to continue advancing on the path that our historical leaders, Hugo Chávez and Evo Morales, marked. A path that today we come to realize with these agreements,” said the Venezuelan foreign minister during the installation in the Yellow House of the III Mixed Commission Venezuela-Bolivia.

In recent months there have been more than 90 work meetings prior to the installation of this III Mixed Commission to update the map of binational cooperation.
