The Exporters Association (ADEX) urged peter castleto continue clarifying the facts that are imputed to him for, presumably, leading a criminal organization. “The head of state must have virtues such as suitability, honesty, transparency, statesmanship and be open to dialogue”said the president of the union, Julio Perez Alvan.
Last Friday, June 17, the president declared for four hours before the prosecutor’s office that he is being investigated as the leader of an alleged criminal organization that received bribes from infrastructure works; however, he did not receive the Oversight Commission of the Congress of the Republic, due to ‘alleged breach of due process’.
He considered that the country is going through a serious institutional crisis due to the lack of leadership of the president and some of the officials he appoints have shown inexperience and ignorance in their sectors.

For this reason, ADEX made a call to the head of state with the purpose of achieving transparency in the management of the government, show his willingness to completely delimit the serious accusations that weigh on him and begin to join wills to move forward.
“We economic agents need officials with work ethics and knowledge of their respective sectors to be appointed, with coherence between what they say and do, and help build an environment of predictability. For our part, we are committed to building bridges of dialogue that allow us to fight against poverty and achieve the full recovery of Peru”Perez Alvan said.
Exports are one of the nation’s most important engines and could help boost the economy, so achieving growth of 6% a year is feasible if we prioritize dialogue and if decisions are made without any ideological burden.
“We exporters and the country as a whole seek predictability and trust in order to generate decent jobs and thus create growth opportunities for all. Public-private work is fundamental. Having authorities that are in office for 1 or 2 months does not allow us to advance in the pending agendas”said the head of ADEX.
