The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during a tour of all the communes that make up the “Ruta de la Mandarina” in the community of Araira, Simón Bolívar parish, Zamora municipality of Miranda state, reaffirmed the importance of communal elections and called for strengthening leadership and work in the Communal Councils.
He highlighted the goal of exceeding four thousand communal circuits in three years. “We have to set the goal of six thousand communes in three years, which will be consolidated and with projects in infrastructure works, agriculture, among other productive areas (…) This progress would be one of the significant achievements of revolutionary socialism.”
The national leader pointed out that the Communal Councils must consolidate their projects with the ministries. “All the ministries must be in each territory, and work in the four thousand 505 communal circuits, as well as all the governorships and mayoralties.
He called for participation next Sunday, August 25, in the Second National Popular Consultation 2024. “We must participate so that we can vote for the priority project. Starting at 8 in the morning, all the communal people will be in the streets to choose their projects.”
On the other hand, the Minister of Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado, highlighted that in this sector of Araira there are 17 communal councils and several agricultural roads. “Everyone is prepared for the elections on August 25.”
The first combatant, Cilia Flores, expressed her support for the community projects in the municipality of Zamora and invited all Venezuelans to vote: “Now the people choose what they want, what they need, how they do it and when they do it; and for that they have the support of President Maduro. Congratulations on this beautiful land where you live, work and produce!”
Community leaders in the municipality of Zamora have held various meetings to discuss the projects and are preparing for their implementation starting on August 25.
In this regard, President Maduro stressed the need for a new territorialized system of government to be built in Venezuela, which would support the construction of Communal Circuits.
He said that after the Popular Consultation that will take place in the country on August 25, “the money has to come down” from the State for the implementation of the projects approved by each communal circuit.
He also revealed that he is managing the resources to finance another 4,505 productive projects. “We are healing wounds created by the criminal economic sanctions requested by the fascist ultra-right. These wounds are seen in the infrastructure, water, services,” he said.
He pointed out the need to transform the State: “leave the remains of the old bourgeois State, and begin the articulation with the Communal Circuits. The basis of the State for it to be indestructible and for it to be the basis of the Bolivarian Revolution is the territory, it is the common people (…) the power of the country has to be you (the people).”

During the tour, President Maduro instructed the Minister of People’s Power of the Office of the Presidency, Aníbal Coronado, to deliver three trucks to the community of the “Ruta de la Mandarina.” These vehicles will allow the transportation for the distribution of various agricultural products, such as mandarins, oranges and avocados, among others.
