The President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduroasserted this Saturday that the military family of Venezuela is united more than ever, during the salutation ceremony for the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb) towards the end of 2024.
“I wish you to convey to the entire military family of Venezuela my commitment and my eternal love and gratitude, because the military family of Venezuela is united today more than ever in the love of our homeland,” he declared from the Plaza Bicentenario de Ayacucho in Fuerte Tiuna. .
The head of state was accompanied at the event by the first combatant, Cilia Flores; the sectoral vice president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello; the sectoral vice president of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, Vladimir Padrino López; the Strategic Operational Commander of the Fanb (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, among other authorities.
In his speech, he highlighted that the year 2024 is a “year of victory, of sovereignty, of peace, of popular-military-police fusion, and what is coming is bigger, it is better,” and that in 2025 comes “more homeland, more independence and more revolution.”
Empires surrendered
The President recalled some of the feats achieved 200 years ago by independence leaders by defeating the empire of the time, stating that “the empires or those who have empire complexes who want to mess with the history of dignity and heroism of the people of Venezuela will be defeated.” ”.
“Rendered, the banners and flags of the empires will forever remain before the feet of the people, sons of the liberators, of the people of Venezuela,” he said.
Likewise, he made reference to the nations liberated by Simón Bolívar and the historical ties that Panama, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador share, expressing about the last nation that is “today tainted by fascism and drug trafficking that has taken over all levels of power.”
“We know well where we come from, we know very well the legacy we defend and how wonderful that by knowing this we achieved coherence,” he said.
It is worth noting that during the event a video summary of the various activities and projects carried out by the institution was presented. In addition, the head of state presented a decoration to members of the Fanb for their outstanding work.
