The president highlighted that the Venezuelan people have overcome conspiracies, psychological, political and economic wars
The President of the Republic, Nicolas Madurostated this Monday that the people of Venezuela are “more awake and rebellious than ever,” while highlighting the resistance they have had in overcoming various adversities.
Through his social media accounts, the head of state recalled that some people said at the time that without the physical presence of Commander Hugo Chávez the people would “fall asleep” again, but the opposite happened.
“We are in the times of the bicentennial era! Some said that without Chávez, physically, the people would fall asleep again, but we have overcome conspiracies, psychological, political, and economic wars,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, he asserted that the Venezuelan people are more awake and rebellious than ever, carrying forward the flags, “the dreams and the giant utopias.”
The message was accompanied by a video in which testimonies from the population are shown, such as that of a citizen who affirms that the war “was done to the Venezuelan people” and in another that “Venezuela is giving birth to patriots.”
