President Maduro: Venezuela today has a peace that was fought for

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Saturday the struggle of the Venezuelan people to consolidate peace in the country.

«The times of hate are behind, Venezuela today has a peace that was fought for and worked for the enjoyment and healthy recreation of everyone. Let’s enjoy this Christmas season as a family!” Maduro said on his account on the social network Twitter.

Dialogue and peace diplomacy

In this sense, the National Government encourages dialogue and peace diplomacywhich is reflected in economic and social cooperation.

Proof of this are the conversations that are held with the economic and industrial sector, for the recovery of the productive apparatus in the country.

Similarly, among the dialogues for economic cooperation are the conversations with this sector of Colombia, after the reopening of the border last September.

More dialogue in Mexico

Another important sign is the resumption of dialogue between the National Government and sectors of the Venezuelan opposition.

In this regard, President Nicolás Maduro recently stressed that the legitimate national government that he leads has endeavored to dialogue with all sectors of Venezuelan society. He emphasized “in a particular way” that there has been an effort in “dialogue with the (opposition) political sector dependent on the United States government.

In this context, the national government delegation for dialogue arrived this Friday in Mexico, where a second partial agreement will be signed for the Protection of the Venezuelan Peoplewith a sector of the opposition.

Upon his arrival, the head of the Venezuelan Delegation, Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that Venezuelans “are interested in peace, in that our issues are resolved through discussion and dialogue within the framework that the Constitution gives us and in prosperity », and wished that «these dialogue processes are projected in the future», he said.
