The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduroindicated in the program with Mature+ that Venezuela establishes the integration of the Latin American, Caribbean and world peoples to “promote strategic cooperation between nations”.
For this reason, the head of state in his address made special mention of the visit to Venezuela of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, whose purpose was to establish bilateral relations and cooperation in economic, military, and health matters, among others. Both nations seek to promote Venezuelan economic development, in order to overcome the pressures of the US and other sectors of the western region.
He also recalled that an International Seminar was held in the country “to talk about the struggle for economic development, to generate all the conditions for Venezuela to achieve all its economic independence”, with the presence of experts from Latin America, the Caribbean and the world.
On the other hand, he affirmed that the meeting he had with President Luis Arce was with the objective of rescuing and promoting the cooperative relationship between Bolivia and Venezuela. Likewise, during the meeting they discussed the processes in South America, the reactivation of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR); the consolidation process of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC); Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (SUNRISE).
In addition, both nations signed 13 agreements on oil, petrochemicals, health, education, gas, sports, mining, trade, air services, hydrocarbons, PDVSA Gas and Bolivian Fiscal Oilfield.
Regarding the strengthening of Latin American sports, he stressed that the inauguration of the V Sports Games of ALBA 2023with the participation of 11 countries, in 33 sports disciplines, represents the youth, hope and future of the peoples who drive the regional union.
«ALBA is future, hope, union of youth and peoples, ALBA founded by the Eternal Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías and the Commander Fidel Castro, ALBA demonstrates what we have been and what we should be; build the integral union of the Latin American and Caribbean peoples”, he specified.
