President Maduro received credentials from the Syrian ambassador

Kenan Zaher Al Deen, diplomatic representative of the Government of Syrian President Bashar Al-Asad delivered his credentials to the Venezuelan Government in the Sol del Perú Room of the Miraflores Palace

The head of state, Nicolás Maduro Moros, received this Monday the credentials of the ambassador appointed by the Syrian Arab Republic to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Kenan Zaher Al Deen, in the Sol del Perú Room of the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, reported VTV.

The economist graduated from the University of Damascus, has held positions of diplomatic and consular representation of the Syrian Arab Republic in: United Arab Emirates (2020-2022); Kingdom of Bahrain (2018-2020); Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (2013-2016); Republic of Türkiye (2011-2012) and People’s Republic of China (2003-2008).

Present at the event were the Venezuelan delegation, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Carlos Faría and the first combatant, Cilia Flores de Maduro, among other authorities of the national Executive.

On the Syrian side, the Secretary General in Venezuela of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Reyad Ercheid; the president of FEARAB Venezuela, Zaid Al Hamad and the president of the Syrian-Venezuelan Businessmen’s Council, Michel Mazloum.

Venezuela and Syria have more than 75 years of diplomatic relations, which have been strengthened with the Bolivarian Revolution since 1999 and have led to the signing of different political, economic, commercial, tourist and cultural agreements.

Both nations have been the victim of multiple attacks and the illegal imposition of coercive measures promoted by the United States government, with the aim of overthrowing their legitimately elected presidents, Bashar Al-Asad (Syria) and Nicolás Maduro (Venezuela).
