Given the unfortunate situation and the call of the National President for the damages in Las Tejerías, the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, made a tour this Sunday through the affected areas after the overflow of the Los Patos stream, in the town of Las Tejerías, state Aragua.
According to the images transmitted by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, along with the entity’s governor, Karina Carpio; and the mayor of the jurisdiction, Pedro Hernández, carried out the tour, in order to assess the effects in the area and interact and learn about the situation of the affected families.
Situation in Las Tejerías
Since this Saturday night, the intense and prolonged rains caused the overflow of the Los Patos ravine that borders Las Tejerías, reported on his Twitter account, Carlos Pérez Ampueda, Vice Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, a situation that left a balance of deceased people.
Pérez Ampueda indicated that the National Risk Management System is deployed in Las Tejerías attending to the contingency due to the effects of the tropical wave that affects Venezuela.
In this regard, he reported through his Twitter account that “more than a thousand SNGR officials and police officers continue the search and rescue plan in Las Tejerías, Santos Michelena municipality, Edo. Aragua, due to the overflow of the Quebrada Los Patos”.
Given the situation, “Special Teams are activated in SAR operations of Firefighters and Civil Protection, CEOFAN, Citizen Security, as well as the Special Search and Scene Analysis Unit with Drone technology and canine livestock,” he said on Twitter.
