President Maduro met with the Qatari minister

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting on Wednesday with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani.

The meeting was held at the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, where they discussed diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The visit takes place in the context of strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries, whose horizon points to strategic alliances in sectors of mutual interest based on the agreements established in the joint work agenda.

On his recent tour of Eurasia, the national president strengthened bilateral cooperation relations focused on the areas of science and technology, agriculture, transportation, energy, tourism and culture.

Likewise, he ratified the cooperation ties between the nations, in addition to reviewing the actions to consolidate the cooperation ties and strategic alliances; as well as evaluated current regional and global issues.

Venezuela and Qatar maintain bilateral agreements in different strategic areas, as well as joint cooperation and current geopolitical issues, among which the political and diplomatic exchange is consolidated for the sake of a multipolar world.

Abdulrahman Al-Thani is in charge of the government of Qatar for planning and implementing the country’s strategic bilateral relations, directing mediation efforts, and consolidating peace and international security.

The visit of the Qatari minister strengthens relations

Earlier, the Foreign Minister of Qatar held a meeting with the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Yellow house Antonio José de Sucre, in the center of Caracas.

The meeting was also attended by the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of Venezuela, Carlos Faría, and diplomatic representatives of both delegations.

During his visit, the Foreign Minister of Qatar proposes to strengthen cooperation ties with Venezuela, regarding the more than 20 projects, cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding between both countries.
