President Maduro inaugurated Government Expo

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated this Thursday the ExpoGobierno, in the facilities of the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas.

In this expo, all the potentialities and advances of the ministerial entities in 24 years of Revolution are shown.

“24 years since the new era of the Bolivarian Revolution began to build national independence, the sovereignty of the people, direct democracy, a humanist project: the Bolivarian Revolution of the 21st century. 24 years and what remains!” Venezuelan head of state, in statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.

During the Government Expo, the National President toured the different stands of the ministries.

The first stand corresponded to the Ministry for Agriculture and Fisheries, where the head of the portfolio, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, stressed that the National Government – in 24 years – invested approximately 59,979 million dollars for the food sector.

Specifically, Castro Soteldo explained, 473,320,000 tons of food have been produced in 24 years of revolutionary process.

Within the framework of strengthening this sector, Castro Soteldo explained that, for this year, it is expected to inaugurate 20,000 hectares of shrimp farms in the South of the Lake in Maracaibo, Zulia state.

Regarding this, President Maduro highlighted the promulgation of the Fisheries Law, which allowed the recovery of the Venezuelan seas.

«Venezuela is a power in the seas and rivers, there is still a lot of land to build, Venezuela with the fishing law, prohibiting it in 2001, 2002, 2008, allowed Venezuela to recover all its marine environment, and recover the quality of fishing in the Venezuelan seas,” said the Venezuelan president.

Another of the stands corresponds to the Ministry of Defense, where the refounding of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) was highlighted, after the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to power in 1999.

«If something has been done, has been done and is being done since the Bolivarian revolution, it was to refound the FANB. 24 years of continuous progress, of the victorious march of a new Bolivarian National Armed Force”, he declared.

In this line, the Minister for Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, pointed out that, with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez, a change of conception and doctrine of the military corps began.

Finance and Oil

During the tour, President Maduro visited the stand of the Ministry of Finance, which is headed by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.

In statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the Venezuelan head of state highlighted the work carried out, in the midst of the sanctions promoted by the United States government (USA), which aims to mainly affect the financial and productive sector of the country.

“Venezuela is going to get ahead and recover from these disturbances that we have had,” stressed President Maduro.

For her part, the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, stressed the economic growth that took place in 2022, despite the more than 900 sanctions.

For this, he indicated, the National Government aimed to attend specific sectors, for the recovery of the real economy,

Among these actions – he explained – are the sources of financing for entrepreneurs, which became a “fundamental pillar” for the recovery of the economic apparatus, as well as pointing to laws to strengthen national production.

“Venezuela was in second place in exports in 2022, according to ECLAC,” he added.

For its part, in the Ministry of Petroleum, there is the new progress being made by Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), which in recent years has become the target of attacks from sanctions.

«One of the great achievements of the revolution has been the rescue and empowerment of the working class of PDVSA. An industry that was subject to international interests, after the revolution to the most savage attacks, and sanctions,” stressed Minister Tareck El Aissami.

An example of these advances is the creation of asphalt emulsion, developed between PDVSA and Pequiven.

This emulsion, detailed El Aissami, is applied to the cold and will serve to recover the asphalt plates.

In this regard, El Aissami explained that a first test was carried out in Guárico, last year, and managed to withstand rain and heat.
