The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, sent his congratulations to the new board of directors of the National Assembly made up of deputies Jorge Rodriguez in the presidency, and Pedro Infante and América Pérez in the first and second vice-presidency respectively.
Through his Twitter account, the president posted: “I congratulate the new board of directors of the National Assembly chaired by the deputies @Jorgerpsuvas president, @PinfanteaFirst Vice President and Deputy @Amkvalentinaas Second Vice President. May 2023 – 2024 be of success and blessings for our Homeland”
Likewise, to the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez highlighted the beginning of the work of the new parliamentary team.

Deputy Pedro Infante was sworn in as the first vice president of the National Assembly (AN), after being elected by the plenary, this Thursday.
The proposal was presented by the head of the Parliamentary Bloc of the Homeland, deputy Diosdado Cabello, as established in the current internal regulations, for the election of the parliamentary board.

During the oath, Infante ratified before the president of the parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, the commitment to defend the principles of the Bolivarian Revolution, and for the integrity of the national territory.
AN hand in hand with popular power
After her swearing in, the second vice president of parliament, Deputy América Pérez, informed that this new parliamentary period will be based on laws of People’s Power, where the review and discussion of all processes will begin with the people.
“The work of the AN goes hand in hand with the People’s Power, which helps address the problems of the Venezuelan people and legislate to solve them,” he said.
Deputy Perez was a member of the Commission Permanent of Economy, Finance and National Development during the period 2021-2022.
