The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Morosgreeted this Monday the visit of the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov, to Latin America and advocated the success of the tour.
From the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, during the first program With Mature+broadcast through the media, networks and walls, the Venezuelan head of state stated that Lavrov is already in Brazil and was received by Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, as part of the diplomacy of the Government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
He stressed that this Tuesday, April 18, the Russian foreign minister will be received by the People’s Power Minister for Foreign Relations of Venezuela, Yván Gil, and will later have important meetings with the executive vice president, Delcy Rodríguez.
Likewise, he announced that he will personally receive the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov at the Miraflores Palace, “to review all the issues of Russia-Venezuela cooperation.”
He also stated that they will talk about the presence of Russia in Latin America and the Caribbean, for the good of the region and will talk about world geopolitics. President Nicolás Maduro said he was lucky to have “a good, beautiful, and deep friendship with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov,” whom he considered “a seasoned (experienced) man, having served as Foreign Minister of Russia for more than a decade. He is one of the most influential men in international politics,” he said.
The national president welcomed the Russian foreign minister to South America, Latin America, the Caribbean and “also welcome to Venezuela,” he said.
