This Tuesday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, arrived in the State of Qatar to continue his international work agenda, as part of the Eurasian tour he is carrying out to strengthen strategic alliances with nations of the world.
The President arrives in the sovereign Arab state located in western Asia, in the company of the first combatant of the Republic, Cilia Flores, and part of his ministerial train, in the areas of transportation, science and technology, agriculture and land, and the office of the Venezuelan Presidency.
The Venezuelan Head of State was received with high honors for his investiture, and is accompanied by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, SultanBinSaadAl-Muraikhi, reported the Presidential Press.
Strategic Alliances
During this visit, the Venezuelan Head of State and the Qatari authorities are expected to review bilateral actions to strengthen cooperation ties and strategic alliances; as well as assess current regional and global issues.
During his visit to Turkiye, Algeria, Iran and Kuwait, President Maduro consolidated bilateral relations and ratified the ties of cooperation and complementarity with these countries.
It should be remembered that in October 2016, Maduro made an international tour that included Qatar. On that occasion, diplomatic actions were undertaken, in order to build consensus with the member countries of Opec and Non-Opec, to achieve fair oil prices.
In recent years, Venezuela and Qatar have had joint actions that have strengthened the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

Earlier, during his visit to Kuwait, the Venezuelan president announced that Venezuela and Kuwait will activate a mixed Commission cooperation in political, diplomatic, financial, commercial, tourist, energy and agricultural matters.
He thanked the warmth and receptiveness of all the Kuwaiti authorities and described his official visit to this Arab country as extraordinary.

President Maduro also shared with the president of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, experiences in the legislative field of both nations.
“Once again, I appreciate the warmth and receptiveness of all the authorities of the State of Kuwait,” he said.
Eurasian tour
On June 7, the Venezuelan Head of State began an international work agenda to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship with countries around the world.
Until now, President Maduro, during his Eurasian tour, has visited countries such as: Turkiye, Algeria, Iran and Kuwait.
