President Luis Abinader will be the keynote speaker at the 27th Annual CAF Conference

Santo Domingo, DR.- The Dominican President Luis Abinader will be the keynote speaker at the 27th Annual Conference, organized by the Inter-American Dialogue, the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF) and the Organization of American States (OAS).

The 27th edition of the CAF Annual Conference will be held on September 5, 2024 at the OAS headquarters in Washington DC, to discuss the Main challenges that they face Latin America and the Caribbean in terms of security and development.

Organized since 1997 together with the Inter-American Dialogue and the Organization of American Statesthe Annual Conference of is one of the main hemispheric meetings that allow for the debate and analysis of the major political, economic and social trends in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Throughout the conference, our sessions will focus on the critical intersection between development and security, offering in-depth discussions on the regional stability, transnational organized crime, subnational approaches to creating safe communities, combating gender-based violence, and implications for U.S.-Latin American relations.

The conference will propose new solutions to combat this widespread problem that will play a key role in shaping debate and policy in the years to come.
