The diplomats of the Republic of Chile, Rodrigo David Hume; Republic of Panama, Carlos Aguilar Navarro; Mongolia, Shagdar Battsetsegla, and the Republic of Slovenia, Alain Brian Bergant, delivered their credential letters to the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou. In this way, they were accredited as new ambassadors to Uruguay.
During the ceremony, this Monday 11 at the Executive Tower, the president received diplomats from Asia, Europe, Central America and Latin America. The chancellor, Francisco Bustillo, and the secretary of the Presidency of the Republic, Álvaro Delgado, were also in the activity.
Subsequently, the official delegations from Chile, Panama, Mongolia and Slovenia moved to Plaza Independencia to place a floral offering at the foot of the mausoleum of hero José Artigas.
