President is hospitalized in São Paulo with abdominal discomfort

The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, has been hospitalized since the early hours of this Monday (3), at Hospital Nova Star, in São Paulo, where he will undergo exams. According to the Department of Communication (Secom) of the federal government, an abdominal discomfort was the reason for hospitalization. Secom also informs, “that the president is doing well and that more details will be released later, after updating the medical report”, says the note released this morning.President is hospitalized in São Paulo with abdominal discomfort

According to Vila Nova Star Hospital, Bolsonaro has a picture of intestinal obstruction. “He is stable, undergoing treatment and will be re-evaluated this morning by Dr. Antônio Luiz de Vasconcellos Macedo’s team. At the moment, there is no expected discharge”, says the hospital note.

Bolsonaro arrived in São Paulo at around 1:30 am, after leaving Forte Marechal Luz, in São Francisco do Sul, on the coast of Santa Catarina, where he spent the turn of the year.

In a post on a social network, Bolsonaro said he arrived at the hospital at 3 am today. The president informed that he is using a nasogastric tube and more tests will be done “for possible surgery for internal obstruction in the abdominal region”. He recalled that this is his second hospitalization “with the same symptoms”.
