President inaugurates works in San Cristóbal for more than RD $ 240 million

San Cristóbal – With an investment of more than 240 million pesos, President Luis Abinader led the inauguration and first palace of various works in this province.

It is a set of projects that show the equitable distribution of investments, benefiting the most vulnerable communities.

The president expressed that the strengthening of citizen security is added, with the inauguration of the Cambita police station with an investment of 14 million pesos and the construction of houses.

“Citizen security is a priority and we are going to change and improve it every day,” said the head of state.

Regarding the new homes, the president, together with the director of Strategic and Special Projects of the Presidency, Neney Cabrera, led the first palazo for the construction of 50 eco-homes.

These will benefit the same number of families affected for 23 years, by the passage of Hurricane George.

“We want people to get used to living with respect and sustainability, in tune with nature,” said the head of state.

This project involves an investment of 5 million pesos.

It reduces the dependence on the aggregates that come from the rivers and its construction would be completed in an approximate period of five months, making it much faster and more efficient.

In another order, the President led the inauguration of a 42-meter bridge over the Yubazo River in Cambita.

Built with more than 54.5 million pesos and that links several municipalities with the Beltway and Highway 6 de Noviembre.

The sum of all the projects delivered and started this Thursday, said Minister Geanilda Vásquez, reinforces the quality of public spending.

In the afternoon, President Abinader led the inauguration of the Adan Santana Sierra High School in Najayo, with a budget of more than 82 million pesos.

The educational center has 13 classrooms, management, psychology, infirmary, library, multipurpose room, kitchen, dining room, recreation and sports spaces, children’s games, green areas and a civic square.

The broad agenda for this day also included the start of work for the construction of a funeral home.

In addition, two community centers, a local for the association of students, sidewalks and containers, a primary care unit in La Plena and a field in Ingenio Nuevo.

This set of works involves an investment of 62 million pesos.

Meanwhile, an approximate of 30 million corresponds to the rehabilitation of the Pablo Gómez play in the El Carril municipal district.

This also includes a basketball and volleyball court, parking lots, cafeteria, stands, front perimeter fence, among other facilities.

In the same way, the inclusion of this community in the titling plan was approved, the arrangement of the parish was arranged and the asphalting plan was started in the province.

The Ministry of Tourism was also told to condition Los Cacaos to be a source of employment and wealth for the area.

Finally, the head of state gave the first rolaso ​​in the house of Pascuala Puente for the Pinta Tu Barrio program in the community of Las Flores, which will improve the façade of 2,500 homes in this demarcation.
