President: Historians must become warriors of truth

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said that “historians must become warriors of truth”, while calling the rescue in the identity of living memory, to bring to “our times” the great fighting of history.

In the closing of the seminar Bicentennial of Boliviain Caracas, said the president that Bolivarianism must resume his concept to preserve the peace and life of the peoples.

“(…) For the emancipation and union of all of our America. It is a long process, complex, difficult. Historians have to help us those who are in the fight against the warriors. Historians have to become warriors of truth and the rescue of identity and living memory,” said Maduro, who reiterated that, it is still in force for a time of re -foundation and the foundation of the “big homeland. We love Bolivia. ”

Maduro also recognized, in this seminar, the presence of at least 12 nations historians, whom he recalled that Bolívar left many pending missions. “As José Martí said, the apostle. The great apostle José Martí, also Liberator of Our America.”

He also highlighted the role that the Latin American and Caribbean Center Romulo Gallegos must play, in what he called the “unfinished task.” In Gallegos’ memory, “a great Bolivarian, a great Latin Americanist, as great as Latin Americanist, in his good weather, as literary, as a writer, that American imperialism overthrew him when he was president of Venezuela, he put an eternal medal to Romulo Gallegos with the coup d’etat that directed the United States embassy here Caracas against him, as he denounced him.”

The concept of Bolivarianism

He reported that, in the case of the heroes, “they are heroes and are uncontrollable” and that, if someone was controversial, critical, creator and that he broke all the paradigms of his time, he was the Liberator, Simón Bolívar. But also “his son, killed so early by the Bogota and Quito oligarchy, Antonio José de Sucre, were people with a doctrine, a thought of what they call geopolitics a fundamental principle of great honesty, of great sincerity, of great frankness in the republican principles that married depth in the flags of equality, of the freedom that had clear historical submission.”

In his opinion, Bolívar and Sucre detached themselves “long” in their historical time and at all times of the rest of the generation of liberators and liberators “there is no doubt today that both of them, in their praxis as political leaders, military as victorious chiefs of this immense company to take out of the Spanish empire and found the new America, the Republican America without a doubt, they had very much but far away from the limitations Santander, from a Páez, of a Juan José Flores (…) ”.

Maduro made some reflections on the foundation of Bolivia and the deed of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and the great Marshal Antonio José de Sucre. Recognition of eight stars number 13, publication of the Simón Bolívar Studies Center (CESB), said that in its pages is the original Map of Bolivia.

Future times

Madururo said that beyond a Lima oligarchy and the oligarchy of his time, “without a doubt they had quite far away by men of their time, but they also discovered the two (Bolívar and Sucre), in their praxis as political leaders, future times, because they dared to create with great authenticity, much nobility, detaching themselves from material goods, in a very Christian spirit; Chávez ”, who gave the only thing they had” their body, their mind, their idea, their blood, because enough blood spilled for the freedom of this people. “

The president finally recalled that, after a historical process, “Bolivia has the right to the sea since she was born”, because in his opinion, the Altiplano nation fought with their weapons to earn that right and that the Bolivarian nations will never abandon that cause.

The head of state shared the news he received from the Venezuelan ambassador to Bolivia, César Tróppiz from Chuquisaca. “He sent me a very beautiful video of two companions, Bolivian compatriots, who are direct descendants of Antonio José de Sucre and Manuela Rojas. And I invited them to come to Venezuelan soil,” he said.

“What a beautiful thing to know that there are direct, biological descendants of our great Marshal of Ayacucho. For us it is very exciting,” he said.

Maduro closed the seminar that brought together more than 30 national and international speakers Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Cuba and Bolivia, who shared their reflections on the foundation of the Bolivian country as part of the Bolivarian Integration Project led by Bolívar and Sucre.

Celebrating Bolivia is “defending ourselves”

In parallel, the Minister for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, said that “celebrating Bolivia is to defend and celebrate ours Do not get into us, leave still what is still. ”

The minister said that “Venezuela has prioritized this celebration as part of his cultural agenda, recognizing Bolivia as his favorite sister, as called the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, evoking the words of El Libertador Simón Bolívar.”

He also noted that the solidarity of the Venezuelan people to Bolivia is not limited to symbolic gestures, but responds to a deep understanding of the historical, cultural and political ties that unite both nations.

For his part, Bolivia’s ambassador to Venezuela, Sebastián Michel, made several reflections on the history of Bolivia since its inception as an independent nation 200 years ago and the diversity of ideas and visions that even divide their history.

The historian Pedro Calzadilla, president of the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies Romulo Gallegos (CELARG), presented in the context of this academic event, the book of the Cuban historian Sergio Guerra “He is the revolution”, edited by the Center for Simón Bolívar Studies and the Monte Ávila publishing house, a biography of Simón Bolívar that highlights its internal evolution and that of its internal evolution and that of its political struggle. This work and the book “Bolivia, the favorite daughter of the Liberator 1825-2025” can be downloaded for digital reading on the portal.
