The President will meet with authorities and strategic partners to analyze economic and political issues in order to strengthen bilateral relations.
After the participation of the president Guillermo Lasso at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP26, in Glasgow (United Kingdom), the President and his entourage arrived today (November 3, 2021) in Madrid (Spain), for one visit that seeks to cement the relations with authorities of that country and strategic partners.
As detailed in the bulletin of the General Secretariat of Communication of the Presidency, on Thursday, November 4, the president will have meetings with King Felipe VI of Spain and with the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, with whom he will discuss issues that allow strengthening the relations bilateral between Ecuador and Spain.
What’s more, Guillermo Lasso He will also dialogue with José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of Madrid, and with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain.
On Friday, November 5, the President will participate in the “ABC Forum Spain-Ecuador: Thinking the S-XXI ”, which aims to analyze economic, political and social issues of both countries and Latin America. That day, the Executive will also visit Isabel Díaz, president of the Community of Madrid.
Finally, it is expected that for Saturday, November 6, the Head of State will meet with Ecuadorians residing in Spain, to know their expectations and demands. (MFU)
