During the speech, the president recalled the four years required to complete the course and compared the journey to that of the presidency. “I still keep the teachings I learned here. In difficult moments in front of the Presidency of the Republic, I see what I went through here and I resign myself by saying: here it was more difficult.”

Bolsonaro also praised the 23 women who are part of the group and who graduate “showing all of us that those who have grit, determination, willpower, courage and faith can achieve their goals. Congratulations to you all.”

The president attributed his personal achievements to the Brazilian Army. “This training marks the lives of all of us. This training will make us overcome obstacles. Remember one thing: what’s possible we’ll do, what’s not, we’ll deliver into God’s hands; On a daily basis, he gives us examples of overcoming difficulties”, he stated.

Jair Bolsonaro also stated that it is the trainees’ role to defend Brazilian democracy and freedom, in addition to stressing the need for respect for the Constitution. “We will achieve our goal, which is the well-being of our entire population.”

In addition to defending values, Bolsonaro also spoke about friendship and companionship between members of the Armed Forces. “Without gratitude we will get nowhere. Those who forget their past are doomed to have no future”, he stressed.

Duque de Caxias, patron of the Brazilian Army, was also exalted during the speech. “An example man for all of us. And I say to you: who will make the future of our country will not be a man or a woman. We will be all of us, 210 million inhabitants.”
