Added to this is the visit of the Undersecretary of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, to Colchane to supervise on the ground the work of the police and military on the verge of the end of the state of emergency that will take place this Saturday, April 16. This would be the last extension, so the measure will not continue.
Monsalve detailed, this Wednesday, that once the State of Constitutional Exception ends, Decree 265 will begin to govern, which will allow the Armed Forces to support the tasks that the police carry out in border control.
With this decree, Monsalve explained, “all the personnel of the Armed Forces will be kept at the borders, all the equipment and support material that the Armed Forces have will be kept at the borders and, therefore, There will be no reduction in border control independent of the end of the State of Exception.”
