The acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, continues to make changes to the ministerial train. On this occasion, he announced the appointment of Dr. Nuramy Josefa Gutiérrez González as the new Minister for Health and the appointment of Calixto Ortega Sánchez as president of the International Center for Productive Investment (Ciip).
Dr. Nuramy Gutiérrez is a Venezuelan professional with a career dedicated to the health sector. From now on, he will assume the commitment to deepen care and protection policies for the benefit of the Venezuelan people, Rodríguez reported through his Telegram channel.
The president expressed her gratitude to Dr. Magaly Gutiérrez for her work in the health area, confirming that she will continue to lead the presidency of the Venezuelan Institute of Social Security (IVSS).
In that same order, he mentioned that the appointment of Calixto Ortega as president of the CIIP will allow us to continue attracting national and international investments for the national productive system, in this stage of economic recovery.
“We give you all our support in favor of the well-being and prosperity of Venezuela,” said the president in charge, while thanking Alex Saab for his commitment and great work at the head of said institution.
Rodríguez highlighted that these new designations are key to continuing to promote the country’s welfare and economic development policies.
Hernán Canorea new president of VTV
On the other hand, the president in charge appointed the journalist, Hernán Canore, as the new president of Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), replacing Freddy Ñáñez, who was in charge of the State channel since November 2017.
This appointment was made through decree No. 5,216, published in Official Gazette No. 6,969, which came into effect last Friday, January 16.
Canorea has had a long career in the practice of journalism within the National Public Media System. He began his first steps on Radio Nacional de Venezuela and then made the leap to television on the VTV screen.
New president of Fundación Patria
Another of the movements that the national president has recently made was the appointment of Anabel Pereira Fernández as president in charge of the Patria Foundation and president of the respective Board of Directors. Pereira is also the Minister of Popular Power of Economy and Finance since August 2024.
Pereira is a lawyer and economist by profession, and has extensive experience in the Venezuelan public administration within the financial and regulatory sectors of the State.
With this designation, the Executive seeks to strengthen the operation of this institution that, in recent years, has become a key piece of the country’s stability.
It should be noted that the Patria Foundation is attached to the Vice Presidency of the Republic and its structure is defined in its founding act.
