“The world is going through a serious problem with fertilizers. Since March of last year we have been working on it. The problem erupted a few months ago, but we had been taking steps to address it. We cannot allow a war for food security to occur in Brazil and in the world. We can do without a lot, but without food it is impossible to survive,” Bolsonaro said.

The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Tereza Cristina, participated in the event, where she announced her departure from the ministry. She will leave office to run for a seat in the Senate. She highlighted the importance of Brazilian agriculture, which she called the “breadbasket of the world”.

The Minister of Communications, Fábio Faria; the president of Incra, Geraldo Melo Filho; the Secretary of Heritage Coordination and Governance of the Union Heritage Department, Fabiana Rodopoulos; and the president of Banco do Brasil, Fausto Ribeiro, attended the ceremony.
