The 954,000 students return to face-to-face classes this Monday, March 7, in a historic event that will include the participation of President Laurentino Cortizo, Vice President José Gabriel Carrizo, 15 Ministers of State, two Minister Counselors, a Vice Minister and 13 governors.
The welcoming acts for the school year begin with President Cortizo who, accompanied by the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, will tour the La Concepción and Ernesto T. Lefevre schools, both in Juan Díaz. The Governor of Panama, Carla García, will be in the official delegation.
Meanwhile, the Vice President and Minister of the Presidency, José Gabriel Carrizo, will visit the Republic of France schools, accompanied by José Pio Castillero, Administrative Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, and the Pedro J. Ameglio School, located in San Miguelito, accompanied of the Vice Ministers of Infrastructure Ricardo Sánchez and of Internal Trade and Industries, Omar Montilla. The chancellor in charge, Marta Gordón, will be at the Saila Olobiniguiña School, in the Guna Yala region. She will be accompanied by Governor Alexis Alvarado.
The Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Jissel de Frías, will be at the José Daniel Crespo School, located in the province of Herrera, in the company of Governor Víctor Roca Cuan. Meanwhile, the Minister in charge of Health, Ivette Berrío, together with the Governor of Colon, Irasema de Dale, will be at the Escuela República de Uruguay.
In the province of Chiriquí, the Minister of Labor and Labor Development, Doris Zapata, will attend the civic events of the Bilingual School of Doleguita, together with Governor Juan Carlos Muñoz. In addition, Ramón Martínez, head of the Commerce and Industries portfolio, will visit the students of the Simeón Conte School, with Governor Julio Palacios.
With the students of the El Tecal Bilingual School, in Arraiján, will be the Minister of Housing, Rogelio Paredes, and the Governor of West Panama, Sindy Smith. The Minister of Culture, Giselle González, will be at the Claudio Vásquez school and with the Governor of Los Santos, Rubén Villarreal.
Carlo Rognoni, minister in charge of Agricultural Development, will be at the Urracá Institute, in Santiago, with the governor of the province of Veraguas, Manuel Castillo. The José Del Carmen Mejía school, in the Darien lands of Yaviza, will be attended by the Minister of Government, Juan Pino, and Governor Álvaro Bristán.
In North Panama, the Minister in charge of Social Development, Milagros Ramos, will attend the activities of the Melchor Lasso School. On the other hand, the Governor of Bocas del Toro, Stella Stephenson, is invited to the El Empalme School together with the Minister in charge of Government, Juana López.
On the other hand, the Minister of the Environment, Milciades Concepción, in the Emberá Wounaan region, will visit the students of the El Salto Chucunaque Cansuri Educational Center, along with Governor Lemar Lino. Meanwhile, the Vice Minister of Labor, Roger Tejada, will be the guest of honor at the Lajero School, located in the Ngäbe Buglé region. He is accompanied by Governor Juan Palacio.
Finally, these acts of the beginning of the school year will be completed with the visit of the Minister Counselor for Health, Eyra Ruiz, to the Republic of Poland School. Likewise, José Alejandro Rojas, Counselor Minister for the Facilitation of Private Investment, will be present at the civic events that will be held at the Juan José Amado School. Both school entities are located in San Miguelito.
