After the interruption that he made due to the emergency caused by the forest fires that affect the south-central zone of the country, the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, resumed his vacation, of which he had only managed to have a few days.
However, although from La Moneda they confirmed that the President will take a couple of days off, they assured that “in any case, he will be monitoring the emergency as a result of the forest fires and receiving reports through the liaison ministers.”
Unlike the previous time, where he traveled to the Magallanes region to go to Patagonia and visit his family in Punta Arenas, this time the head of state will remain in Santiago, in order to be attentive to the situation of the claims. . In fact, his vacation will last depending on what happens.
It should be remembered that at the beginning of February, the President suspended his vacations and traveled to the areas affected by the forest emergency, visiting the regions of Biobío, Ñuble and La Araucanía. Meanwhile, from La Moneda they clarified that the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá, will continue to exercise her position and not that of vice president.
