The forum “The social challenge of Latin America” to be held in Santiago, will be attended by President Gabriel Boric, former Latin American presidents and other authorities.
In addition to President Boric, Pepe Mujica from Uruguay, the Vice President of Colombia, Francia Márquez, the former Minister of Development of Brazil, Carlos Gabas, the Director of the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) in Chile, Margarita Aravena, and the Executive Secretary will be present. of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), José Manuel Salazar, among others.
The instance seeks to be an opportunity to address different issues such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the low growth of the Ibero-American region, the increase in poverty and inequality, and the growing social tensions in the area.
It is expected that the meeting organized by PRISA Media and the OEI will bring new consensus among the participating countries towards sustained and sustainable growth, digital transformations, the welfare state, social rights, among others.
Among the panelists are the chancellor of Chile, Antonia Urrejola, the former president of Colombia, Ernesto Samper and a special participation of the director of the Spanish newspaper El País, Pepa Bueno.
The international event will be this Friday, September 30 at the Metropolitan Santiago, former CasaPiedra.
