President Boric hardens the tone before irregular migrants: “Either they regularize or they leave”

President Gabriel Boric He hardened this Thursday the tone with immigrants who have entered the country irregularly. Within the framework of his visit to Antofagasta, the President pointed out that “regularize or leave.”

The President also revealed that the Government presented two projects “to address the migratory situation in the north of the country.” One of them “makes the administrative expulsion procedure of a foreign person more expeditious, facilitating the notification mechanisms,” he commented.

The other initiative seeks to allow the judicial expulsion of people convicted by the Drug Law, he said.

In addition, he pointed out that “we are making progress in the implementation of a biometric registry of all foreigners who are residing in Chile in an irregular migratory situation.”
