President Gabriel Boric referred to the attack suffered by his brother, the press officer of the University of Chile, Simon Boric, on the outskirts of the Central House of that house of studies. In this regard, he said that “violence is not the way” and called for the “unity of all Chilean men and women.”
On Thursday, the journalist rebuked a group that was trying to loot a store. They kicked and punched him, which is why he ended up with two fractures. After the attack, Boric was referred to the Clinical Hospital of the University of Chile, where he remained under observation until this Friday.

“Beyond the particular case that a member of my family has been affected, we cannot accept the acts of violence that we have seen in recent times in Chile. That is a priority for me, a priority for my government,” added the head of state.
For the aggression against Simón Boric, four people were arrested: Francisco Diaz Albornoz(33), Jesus Flor Silva (23), Esteban Munoz Duran (18) and Benjamin Fernandez Vargas (twenty).
The chief prosecutor of Flagrancia Centro Norte, Macarena Canascharged them with the crime of less serious injuries and the 7th Guarantee Court decreed night house arrest.
