“We had a conversation to analyze the political situation in the country, the challenges we are facing, we also talked about the international scene, we sang Pablo Milanés, we really like music,” added the President.
On Wednesday, Bachelet reiterated her support for Approval in the face of the September 4 plebiscite. “I have also said it, in a symbolic way, that reminds me of a song by Pablo Milanés that says ‘it is not perfect, but it is close to what I always dreamed of’. So, I am with the Approval,” he said in a UN conference held in Peru.
Boric continued commenting on the appointment and said that “by the way, the political scene and the plebiscite were part of the topics of conversation, but one does not tell in public all the details that one talks about and, furthermore, it would be disrespectful if I spoke on her behalf, so I imagine that she will make her decision known at the time”.
“We had a very good conversation and we are going to continue talking. I am very grateful for the generosity that she has had with me to also tell me about the lessons she had in her two governments,” concluded the President.
