The president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores), Rafael Blanco Tejera, informed today that the tourists Ukrainians in poor hotels located in the country will be transferred to hostels.
¨Those tourists who do not have the resources to fend for themselves, well, we are going to have to find a shelter for them¨.
Meanwhile, “the group that has resources will try to locate them in some complexes until the situation in the country is regularized,” he added.

Blanco also explained that “foreigners who have families in other countries such as Europe and the United States, we are going to make it easier for them to go there.”
¨From Asonahores we guarantee that all tourists stay in hotels. The decision was made to extend his stay until Monday¨, he said.
The businessman reported that in the case of the Russians there are repatriation flights that are there every day. He said that in the last three days more than 3,000 Russians have been repatriated.
There are currently 15,000 Russian tourists in the Dominican Republic and about 3,000 Ukrainians.
