Santo Domingo.– President Abinader took advantage of this Saturday to call for caution on the occasion of the Easter holiday.
«You can rest, but always do it with caution, always do your activities without excesses and that they spend it with their loved ones, the family, but always with caution,” said the president.
The president issued his message when asked by journalists who approached him after his visit this morning to the Inespre market, located on Venezuela Avenue, in Los Mina, where he urged the people to spend their holidays in peace and with their family.
During a tour, he announced that the initiatives will continue because he knows that there are many people who need, given the international panorama of price increases, especially due to the increase in raw materials, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Covid-19 and the current war in Europe.
He insisted that these high international prices have nothing to do with the Dominican Republic.
“What we are worrying about is mitigating these increases in international prices,” said the government official during a supervision of the Producers Market of the Price Stabilization Institute (INESPRE), on Venezuela Avenue, in the Los Mina sector.
The head of state cited among the measures taken by the government to help external increases impact the population as little as possible, sales at special prices by INESPRE, subsidies to producers and direct aid to those who need it most.
