Through the decree 133-26President Luis Abinader renewed part of the high command of the National Police.
The general Esteban Figuereo García was appointed deputy director general, while general Ernesto Rafael Rodríguez García will take over as inspector general.
The presidential provision also included the promotion to the rank of general of colonel Francisco Amparo Gómez Polancowho will go on to head the Internal Affairs department.
With this measure, the previous appointments of Generals Juan Hilario Guzmán Badía and Werner Manuel Núñez Quezada in said positions are repealed.
Finally, the decree made official the promotion to generals of colonels Jorge Miguel Perdomo Sena, Antonio del Carmen de los Santos, César G. Ares Montás, Ángel M. García Jaime, Gabriel Ant. de los Santos García and Edgar Ramón Arnoud Vólquez.
