President Abinader receives former Chilean President Eduardo Frei at the National Palace

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader received former Chilean President Eduardo Frei at the National Palace, with whom he discussed various topics, including the cooperation between the Chilean agency and the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development and everything that has to do with the foreign trade.

Accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Miguel Ceara Hatton, Frei stated that they have been working for 4 years sharing experiences to open up to the markets and are willing to continue collaborating and working on everything that is of common interest between the two countries.

When approached by journalists on the steps of the National Palace, he expressed that it is pleasant to be in the country that has always received him in an excellent way and this has not been the exception.

He maintained that tomorrow he will meet with the authorities of the Ministry of Economy and businessmen, because there is a will to quickly reach an agreement with Chile, and through that to be able to open all markets.

He also added that in the next few days he will see President Abinader at the inauguration of Chile’s president-elect, Gabriel Boric Font.
